I'm a freelance photographer. My passion is taking photos of the most stunning place around the world.

Generally, lumina or Luminance is a measure of the intensity of light travelling in a given direction. It describes the amount of light that passes through, is emitted or reflected from a particular object, and falls within a given angle back to the viewer; which is then interpreted by our brain. This is the science behind the magic, we call photographs. Everyone that has ever used a camera has captured this complex flow of visible energy that we perceive when viewing a picture; the reflected light, the gesture, the color. The task of the photographer or artist is to capture the unique visualization of this visable energy in a way that makes a photo or particular artwork speak to the viewer. 

Born and raised in Southwest, Virginia, David Michael Weaver is a farm boy, nature lover, beach bummer. He is comfortable in shorts and flip-flops, business suits, and tuxedos. A nature and art photographer who, enjoys capturing unique images and creating art by chasing storms, sunsets and sunrises and generally enjoying the simple, yet breathtaking moments nature and life has to offer. My hope is that each eye that views my work will be inspired to be present, explore and learn about more about world around them, and appreciate the beauty in the LUMINANCE that surrounds them……
